Free ‘Shred-It’ coming to Barrington DPW
Public works, recycling closed on Nov. 11

BARRINGTON — Barrington will host a “Shred-It” event on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is open to all Barrington residents and is free.

Anyone interested in disposing paper documents can bring them to the Barrington Department of Public Works headquarters on Upland Way. Examples of paper that can be shredded include personal documents, unwanted receipts, checks, pre-approved credit applications, old tax forms, and credit card statements.

The Barrington Department of Public Works and the Recycling Center will be closed Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. Wednesday’s refuse and recycling will be collected Thursday along with the regular Thursday route.

Refuse and recycling must always be at curbside by 7:30 a.m.
