Letter: Sen. Coyne is a positive, principled woman

To the editor:

We have worked with Cindy Coyne in community organizations long before her run for public office. While juggling her career as a state trooper and mother of four children, she could always be counted on to roll up her sleeves and help in community events and initiatives. In her role as a town councilor and now our state senator, she brings that same energy and dedication. Cindy is methodical in her approach. She works hard and is diligent in researching the issues to make positive changes for our community. She maintains a passion for connecting with her constituents in order to advocate for their best interests. Cindy is one of the most positive and principled women we know. She has the skills, experience and integrity to best represent us in the senate. Please consider a vote to re-elect Cindy. Your vote counts!

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
