Douglas B. Roy, 87, East Providence

Douglas B. Roy, 87 of East Providence, died Wednesday Feb.21, 2018 at Hope Hospice. He was the husband of Annette (Campeau) Roy. They were married for over 61 years.
Douglas was born in Providence a son of the late Thomas and Janet (MacIntosh) Roy. Mr. Roy was a self-employed painter and carpenter. He was a US Army Veteran, serving as a corporal during the Korean War.
Mr. Roy has been an East Providence resident most of his life. He previously had lived in Providence.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Daniel Roy of Florida, Janine Roy of North Kingstown, and Diane Carnevale of East Providence. He was the brother of David Roy of Florida, Jean Santianello of Barrington, and June Roy of Bristol.
Mr. Roy was the loving grandfather of Tristan, Lindsay, Joseph, April, Vanessa, Joseph III, and Tayla. Also he was the great grandfather of Margo, Oliver, Nicholas . Douglas was the brother of the late Robert Roy, and the late Harry Roy. Services are private.
