EAST PROVIDENCE — A fire early Tuesday morning, March 6, caused interior and exterior damage to a home off Centre Street.

East Providence Fire Department personnel responded to the incident at approximately 8 a.m.

According to EPFD Chief Oscar Elmasian, the fire "extended between the fireplace and interior ornamental veneer facade." Damage done included walls and ceilings.

The chief reported no injuries, though residents in the dwelling were displaced pending repair of the structure.
