The local school department recently selected the group of people who will help the district build its next strategic plan. 

The strategic plan steering committee includes 10 parents/community members, two students, the five school committee members, 10 school administrators, and four local teachers.

The list of committee members was released on Monday morning, June 26.

"The purpose of a strategic plan is to define our collective vision of success, articulate our core values, and set goals in specific priority areas," said Barrington Schools Superintendent Michael Messore in a recent press release. "A strategic plan will focus our work and support the school committee, district leaders, and all community stakeholders in making the best decisions to achieve our shared mission, 'empowering all students to excel.'"

The company Studer Education is helping the district with its strategic planning process, which will include "focus groups, survey feedback, and open opportunities to review the progress of the process with transparency and methods for 2-way communication."
