Letter: Patience — Despite March cruelty, spring is coming
To the editor:
Were you beguiled by the bursts of forsythia, soft yellow clouds of Chinese witch hazel and little eruptions of crocus into thinking spring had arrived? Well now you know better and a I don’t need to remind you that “April is ——— “ … you finish the quote as I think I use it every year.
My only cheerful note is in regard to next summer’s peach crop. Remember we had a really warm period and I was afraid that the peach trees would break dormancy again. A peach grower in Tiverton assured me that this didn’t happen.
So hunker down, read the seed catalogues even if you aren’t planning to grow anything and wait – and wait.
