Tuesday, Sept. 27
A West Main Road resident reported a stray dog on his property. Police captured the animal and took it to Sakonnet Veterinary Clinic.

A West Main Road resident reported a stray dog on his property. Police captured the animal and took it to Sakonnet Veterinary Clinic.
Friday, Sept. 30
At 9:02 a.m. (by a California Road resident), at 9:03 a.m. (by a West Main Road resident), at 9:13 a.m. (by a Burchard Avenue resident), at 10:45 a.m. (by a Side Road resident), at 11:08 a.m. (by a John Dyer Road resident), at 11:27 a.m. (by a Francis Lane resident), and at 1:19 p.m. (by a Pottersville Road resident), calls were made to police reporting that the resident had received an IRS scam c all.
At 3:38 p.m., a driver ran off the road and struck a wall along Long Highway. He wasn't injured, but his car had to be towed from the scene.
Saturday, Oct. 1
A resident entered police headquarters at 5:29 p.m. to complain about a custody issue.
At 9:12 p.m., a West Main Road caller reported an erratic driver, The vehicle in question was located, and the driver was stopped, but no one was charged, though a report was generated.
At 11:07 a caller from the Stone House Inn reported a disturbance, but by the time police arrived, the area had cleared and the issue had been resolved.
Sunday, Oct. 2
At 10:04 a.m. a resident entered police headquarters to report an issue with her property.
