TIVERTON — Sports betting will launch at Tiverton Casino Hotel in Tiverton next Monday, December 3rd at 3:00 p.m., at 777 Tiverton Casino Boulevard.
The public and press are invited, said Patti Doyle, spokeswoman for Twin River Worldwide Holdings, which owns and operates the facility.
There will be two betting terminals at the Tiverton Casino Hotel and 11 TV's with odds boards in the sports book area, Ms. Doyle said.
The casino will offer a traditional Las Vegas-style sports book, with a standard industry wagering menu including NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL games. It will also present NCAA sports, except for Rhode Island teams.
The types of wagers and bets may vary daily.
The arrival of sports betting in Rhode Island represents the only place in New England where sports bets can be placed legally. In Rhode Island, it also represents a collaboration with the state and IGT (formerly GTech, a multinational gaming company that produces slot machines and other gaming technologies) as the technology provider and William Hill as the sports betting operator.
The Tiverton Casino Hotel is a Twin River property located on 51 acres in the town of Tiverton just off of Route 24 about 400 feet south of the Fall River, Massachusetts town line.
It is a full-service casino with 1,000 slot machines, 32 table games and an 84-room hotel.
The casino features a sit-down restaurant, the Trattoria Romana, which is both an Italian restaurant and Tuscan Chop House.
The casino also has within its walls, a food court, which includes Jacky’s Galaxie Restaurant, Mooyah Burgers, Pie Five Pizza Company and Dunkin Donuts, a center bar area, parking for 900 cars, and valet parking.
The press is being invited to video/photograph the opening hours of sports betting at the venue from 3 – 5 p.m., Ms. Doyle said.
