Bus access road will reduce run times in Barrington

Road will be built at high school

Posted

Barrington Superintendent of Schools Michael Messore said the construction of a new bus access road at the high school will do more than just alleviate traffic congestion during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.

He said the road will also increase the efficiency for the school bus runs.

"It's definitely going to help," he said, when asked if the access road will reduce the total run times for buses.

The new road is about safety, efficiencies, and emergency access, said the superintendent. As of Monday morning, wooden stakes had been placed across section of grass west of Victory Field where the road will be built.
