Carol Ann Nunes, Little Compton

Carol Ann Nunes of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Little Compton, passed peacefully on June 13, 2017, into eternity to be with her husband, Anthony J. Nunes Jr., her daughter, Carol Mari Nunes, and grandson, Peter Habib.
Born in Fall River on May 27, 1937, to Leo and Irene (Mobouck) McCoomb, she went to school in Swansea, Mass.
She ran Nunes Liquor Store for years, taught aerobics in Bristol, then worked in the dining area of Roger Williams College, now R.W. University. Carol was known for her strong faith in Jesus and her kindness to everyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan M. Habib, and son, Anthony J. Nunes III; her grandchildren, Rachel Nunes and Anthony J. Nunes IV; her sisters, Janet Nappi, Irene Spomer and Kathy Alty, and her brothers, Edward, John and David McCoomb.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Tidwell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
Her memorial service will be held July 9 at 1 p.m. at White’s of Westport.
