Joyce Catherine Agnes Kilroy Rogers of Tiverton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, March 2, 2018.

Joyce, (US Navy, LTJG), and her husband of 64 years, Richard “Dick” Rogers, (US Navy Lt. Cmdr., ret.), both veterans of the United States Navy, met and married while both were serving at the Pentagon.

A long-time resident of Little Compton, for many years Joyce and Dick owned and operated The Fo’c’s’le restaurant on Sakonnet Point, as well as Compton Construction Company, with their seven children working alongside them.

Joyce and her husband were avid travelers who toured all seven continents, including a venture to Antarctica for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Joyce is survived by her husband Dick, her seven children, Lydia Rogers, Michael Rogers (Kristi), Mary Rogers (Kevin Bowen), Beryl Borden (Albert), Richard “Rick” Rogers (Fatima), Veronica Rogers, and Lea Rogers (USAF Major, ret.), along with eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are by Fern Acres Funeral Home.
