Kathleen M. O’Connor of Pollard Road, Lincoln, NH, died Friday, March 10, 2017, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was 74 years old.
Born on August 19, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Harvey and Jessie (Lloyd) O’Connor.
Kathleen grew up in Little Compton and attended Windsor Mt. School in Lenox, Mass. For several years, she was employed as a unit director at the Walter E. Fernald State School in Waltham, Mass., where she met Dolores Reed.
After 34 years together, on January 20, 2010, they were finally able to legally marry.
Kathleen enjoyed life to its fullest and had a special interest in politics, the arts, and her poodles. She relished telling stories of her days spent working at Loon Mountain.
She leaves her spouse Dolores Reed of Lincoln, NH; daughter, Alicia and Eric Escalante, grandchildren Zachery, Jacob, and Storm, of Coos Bay, Oregon; her brother Stephen and Lucy O’Connor of Little Compton, niece Christiana O’Connor of Newport, nephew Daniel and Kate O’Connor, their children Dylan and Emerson of Portsmouth; and niece Adrienne and Craig Bimicombe, their children Ava, Isabelle, and Colton of Falmouth, Maine.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 30, 4to 6 p.m. at the Woodstock Inn Station and Brewery, North Woodstock, NH.
