Little Compton Police: Snakeskins, barking dogs

Monday, Sept. 11

At 9:21 a.m., an 18-wheeler carrying construction materials became stuck when turning into a driveway. It was eventually freed by a tow truck.

At 1:02 p.m., a Highland Avenue resident reported receiving an IRS scam call.

At 8:21 p.m., an Indian Road resident reported receiving an IRS scam call.

Tuesday, Sept. 12

A motorist on West Main Road struck a deer at 6:28 a.m. and was able to drive his car from the scene. He was not injured, but the car sustained heavy front-end damage.

At 2:12 p.m., officers responded to Wilbur & McMahon School following a report of a snake on school property. Officers observed snake skins, but no snakes.

A Pachet Brook Road resident at 2:34 p.m. reported receiving an IRS scam call.
Wednesday, Sept. 13
At 11:10 a.m. a Taylors Lane South resident reported having a property dispute.
A resident went to police headquarters at 12:29 p.m. to report losing a license plate on his motorcycle.
Thursday, Sept. 14
A HIghland Avenue resident reported a barking dog at 11:36 a.m.
Friday, Sept. 15
At 12:03 p.m., the owner of Adamsville Wine & Spirits reported receiving a scam call.
Saturday, Sept. 16
At 5:07 p.m., fire and police units responded to a Sakonnet Point boating incident involving a boat that had sunk and people were in the water. The marine task force was activated and rescued two people who swam to West Island. A third person was able to swim to shore.
At 11:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of a loud party on West Main Road. They arrived as everyone was leaving.
Sunday, Sept.17
At 2:33 p.m. a Hoot Owl Lane resident reported an Equifax scam.
