PORTSMOUTH — There was plenty of pomp and circumstance and school pride on display during Portsmouth High School’s 2018 Homecoming parade on Saturday.

Members of this year’s Homecoming court were led by the king and queen, Mikael Boahin and Alexis Alvanas.

The PHS Marching Band, dance squad, color guard and cheerleaders joined them, along with school faculty and students who created colorful floats centered around a theme for each class.

The festive atmosphere continued on the school’s turf field, where the football team beat Central, 24-14.
