Virginia A. Watt, 97, Little Compton

Virginia A. (Bullock) Watt, 97, of Little Compton, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Grand Islander. She was the wife of the late Alexander Watt.

Mrs. Watt was born in Scarborough, Maine, daughter of the late Richard E. and Alice C. (Gray) Bullock, and had resided in Little Compton for most of her life. She enjoyed volunteering at Thursday Thrift Shop in Little Compton and at the Senior Lunch at the Little Compton Community Center. Mrs. Watt was a member of the Little Compton Republican Committee and the Sakonnet Chicks. She was a longtime active member of the Little Compton United Congregational Church.

Survivors include her two sons, Ronald F. Watt and his wife Jacqueline of Weymouth, Mass., and Randall A. Watt and his wife Lisa of Little Compton; her daughter, Joyce A. Watt and her husband James MacDonald of Plymouth, Mass.; nine grandchildren, along with many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Richard A. Watt and sister of the late Richard Bullock, Francis Bullock and Priscilla Dow.

Her funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Monday, September 10, at 10 a.m. at the Little Compton United Congregational Church.

Calling hours were Sunday, at the Potter Funeral Home, Westport.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Little Compton Fire Department, 60 Simmons Rd., Little Compton, RI 02837.
