Bruce G. Medley, 65, Portsmouth

Bruce G. Medley, 65, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Erica (Greene) Medley.

Mr. Medley was born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur and Grace (Bosworth) Medley. Bruce was the owner/operator of the Prudence Island Ferry for many years .

He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. He has been a Portsmouth resident for more than 25 years, coming from Barrington. Bruce was an antique collector. He collected grandfather clocks, and he was involved with the Historic Deerfield Museum.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Nicholas Medley, of Portsmouth; and two daughters, Grace Medley of Newport, and Katherine Medley of Burlington Vermont. He was the brother of the late Raymond Medley. Burial will be private.
