Kenneth W. Carvara, 69, of Portsmouth

Kenneth W. Carvara, 69, of Berkeley Ave., Portsmouth, died at home with family at his side, Monday, Feb. 18, 2019. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Tavares) Carvara.

Born Oct. 19, 1949, in Fall River, he was the son of the late Henry and Hilda (Paiva) Carvara. Ken served with the Army Reserves and worked more than 40 years at the Dixon-Furon & Saint Gobain Performance Plastics Plant in Bristol as a supervisor.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who mostly enjoyed being with his dogs, Sara, Paddy, Susie Q and Precious. He was a lifetime member of the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club, a member of the Fall River Rod and Gun Club and a proud member of the NRA.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Adam Carvara and his wife Jill of Tiverton, Aimee Carvara of Portsmouth, Robert Condon of Portsmouth, James Condon of Tiverton and Donald Condon of Portsmouth; his grandchildren, Mason, Dakota, Kailee, Cyrus, Kaytlyn, Kourtney, Nicholas, Eilish, Jason and Brandon; and his great-grandson, Benjamin.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Sharon, Laura, Donna, Jackie, Henry and Kathy.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club, 1529 Fish Rd., Tiverton.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
