Portsmouth Police arrest Mass. man on drug charges

PORTSMOUTH — Gleden Rodriquez Jr., 32, of 55 Liberty St., Taunton, Mass., was charged with possession of a control substance Tuesday, April 24, after his car was pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Hedly Street around 7:40 a.m. 

Police said there was an active Superior Court full bench warrant for Mr. Rodriquez’s arrest.

Here are some other highlights from the Portsmouth Police report from over the past week.

Wednesday, April 18

Sean D. Santos, 33, of 670 Chalkstone Ave., Providence, was arrested on a warrant after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road near the Middletown line around 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, April 21

Russell A. Desmarais, 40, of 35 Taber St., First Floor, Fairhaven, Mass, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) shortly after 1 a.m. Mr. Desmarais was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Cedar Island.

Monday, April 23

Ryan Draine, 28, of 82 England St., Cumberland, was arrested on a warrant after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Boyds Lane at Founders Brook Motel around 12:45 a.m.

Friday, April 13

Alex Cacilhas, 25, of 50 Milk Ave., Westport, was charged with driving while intoxicated after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Cedar Island at 12:45 a.m. Mr. Cacilhas was also cited for refusing a chemical test, police said.

Ronald H. Mills, 60, of 115 Dexter St., was charged on a bench warrant issued from 2nd District Court after the vehicle he was in was pulled over for a traffic violation on East Main Road at President Avenue around 4 p.m.

Saturday, April 14

Sara M. Fournier, 24, of 120 Lewin St., Apt. 15, Fall River, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being stopped for a traffic violation around 11:30 p.m. on Route 24 North at Sprague Street. Police said Ms. Fournier was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Monday, April 16

George A. Chelf, Jr., 28, of 477 Middle St., Apt. 1, Fall River, was charged with domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone after police responded to an Anthony Road home around 11 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance.
