Portsmouth Police busy with alleged assaults, domestic cases

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth Police report from over the past week.

Friday, Feb. 16

Ryan J. White, 19, of 60 Widow Sweets Road, Exeter, was charged with reckless driving and eluding police in a high-speed pursuit. He was arrested in the area of West Main Road and Turkey Hill around 11 a.m.

Saturday, Feb. 17

Kevin L. Hewitt, 31, of 309 Chases Lane, Apt. C, Middletown. was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after he was pulled over for a traffic violation on Stringham Road near Burma Road just after midnight.

Sunday, Feb. 18

Kathleen M. Murphy, 62, of 146 State St., Fall River, was charged with domestic assault after police responded to a domestic disturbance at an East Main Road home around 6:40 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 20

Charles V. Parker, 30, of 2749 East Main Road, Apt. 2, was arrested at home around 11 a.m. on two Superior Court full bench warrants, police said. 

Kelsey M. Silveira, 23, of 65 Berkeley Court, Middletown, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct (second offense) after police investigated a report of an alleged domestic assault/disturbance around 8:45 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 21

Thomas J. Darling, 65, of 15 Gifford Ave., North Dartmouth, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense). Police said they pulled Mr. Darling’s vehicle over on West Main Road at Turkey Hill just after midnight after receiving a request to check the condition of the driver.

Kerriann Sousa, 41, of 206 Bristol Ferry Road, was arrested at her home around 8:20 a.m. on a bench warrant issued by 2nd District Court. 

Austin T. Browner, 24, of 32 Perrault St., Apt. 70, was arrested on a warrant at his home around 11 a.m.
