Portsmouth Police stay busy with DWIs, arrest warrants

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth Police reports from over the past week:

Saturday, Sept. 2

Duane A. Logan, 42, of 32 Tecumseh St., Fall River, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by 2nd District Court. Mr. Logan was in a vehicle that was pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Union Street around 8:10 a.m.

Scott R. Rose, 39, of 17 Mohawk Drive, was arrested at his home around 12:35 p.m. on a full bench warrant issued by Superior Court.

Sunday, Sept. 3

Shane J. Mendonca, 28, of 488 Liberty St., New Bedford, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after his vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane around 1:40 a.m. Mr. Mendonca was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, according to police. 

Monday, Sept. 4

Timothy J. Berry, 37, of 1096 East Main Road, Middletown, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after his vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation on East Main Road at Quaker Hill Lane shortly after midnight. He was also cited for refusing a chemical test, police said.

Austin A. Gaudet, 20, of 17 Massachusetts Ave., Middletown, was charged with obstructing an officer in execution of duty. Mr. Gaudet was in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on Mason Avenue at Pine Street shortly before 1 p.m., police said.

Tuesday, Sept. 5

Dione A. Williams, 39, of 603 Slade St., Apt. 3, Fall River, was arrested on a full bench warrant issued by Superior Court. Mr. Williams was in a vehicle pulled over for a traffic violation on Turnpike Avenue at Freeborn Street just before 1:30 a.m., police said.

Domingos G. Dossantos, 51, of 98 East Cottage St., Dorchester, Mass., was charged with larceny of under $1,500 shortly before 9 a.m. He was arrested at Glen Park. 

David F. Roberts, 57, of 215 Rhode Island Boulevard, was arrested at his home on a Superior Court full bench warrant around 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 6

Terence E. Ferreira, 58, of 2365 Main Road, Tiverton, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense), after he was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Freeborn Street around midnight.
