PORTSMOUTH — Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is hosting a community presentation, “Reducing Gun Violence,” from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, at The Valley Inn, 221 West Main Road.
One of the organization’s members, Jennifer Boylan, will be among the presenters. She’ll talk about the work Moms Demand Action volunteers have been doing for the past five years in Rhode Island to prevent gun violence.
This event is free and open to the public.
Moms Demand Action was founded by stay-at-home mom Shannon Watts on Dec. 15, 2012, in response to the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. The group promotes legislation, corporate policies and individual behaviors aimed at keeping families safe from gun violence.
