PORTSMOUTH — Town Historian and Portsmouth Historical Society President Jim Garman will discuss the history of our local ferries and bridges in an illustrated lecture tonight.
His presentation will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the Common Fence Point Community Hall, 933 Anthony Road.
Mr. Garman will use photos from his own extensive personal collections to illustrate the evolution of local bridges and ferries through the years.
The free lecture is a Portsmouth Historical Society event in conjunction with the Common Fence Point Community Association (CFPIA).
Before the lecture, starting at 5 p.m., food trucks will be available outside the hall. Every Wednesday through the end of October, CFPIA is hosting different food trucks for its “We Don’t Have to Cook Wednesdays” series.h the end of October.
