To the editor:

On Oct. 10, the House Finance Committee will hear testimony on the Pawtucket Red Sox Stadium legislation. The $83 million dollar publicly owned stadium proposal seeks $23 million from Rhode Island taxpayers, which would be paid back through stadium tax revenue and ticket surcharge fees. 

The stadium plan is part of a bigger plan to revitalize Pawtucket. The PawSox stadium legislation has been fast-tracked as House and Senate leadership have placed it on the calendar this year. As a sitting member of the House Finance Committee, it is important to inform my constituents that every piece of legislation that was voted on in the House Finance Committee this legislative session passed and subsequently passed on the house floor. 

Now is the time for you to contact your legislators to have your voice heard on the stadium proposal. Some of my constituents have already contacted me about the stadium proposal and I would like to hear from you.
