PORTSMOUTH — Police visited a Common Fence Point resident’s house twice within a two-hour timespan Saturday, Aug. 26, after receiving reports of domestic disturbances.
Frank T. Canario, 60, of 31 Narragansett Road, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct at about 10:10 a.m.
Shortly afterward, around 11:45 a.m., police returned to the address and charged Mr. Canario with violating a no-contact order, according to police.
Here are some other arrests from the Portsmouth Police reports over the past week:
Tuesday, Aug. 22
Christopher J. Ball, 34, 121 Ormerod Ave., was charged with willful trespassing and vandalism with malicious injury to property. Police said Mr. Ball was arrested on a warrant at about 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 24
Alfredo Santiago Velazquez, 48, of 14 Jade Way, Newport, was charged on a bench warrant issued from 2nd District Court. Police found out about the warrant after stopping a vehicle Mr. Velazquez was in for a traffic violation around 5:30 p.m. on Turnpike Avenue.
Saturday, Aug. 26
Tommy L. Lamb, 70, of 11 Hudson St., Apt. 3, Providence, was charged with driving after his license was denied, suspended or revoked. This vehicle was stopped around 11:50 p.m. for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Boyd’s Lane.
Sunday, Aug. 27
Barbara A. Bennett, 64, of 93 Bristol Ferry Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense). Her vehicle was stopped on East Main Road at Glen Road for a traffic violation shortly after 5 p.m., police said.
Tuesday, Aug. 29
James A. Maria, 26, of 134 Schoolhouse Lane, was charged with violating a no-contact order after he was pulled over for a traffic violation around 5:40 p.m. on East Main Road at Glen Road. Mr. Maria was also cited for driving with a suspended license, police said.
Thursday, Aug 31
Beatric C. Schultz, 63, of 93 East Main Road, was charged with driving with a suspended license shortly before 11 a.m. Her vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation on Martens Road at Early Street, according to police.
