PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School boys’ varsity indoor track team had a good day at the Providence Career & Technical Academy, sweeping its dual meet against Rogers and Prout on Sunday.

The Patriots beat Prout, 78-31, and topped Rogers, 61-48. Several other schools also competed in the meet.

First-place finishes were recorded by Brian Hamilton (300 meters), Ethan Shea (600 meters), Vincent Gardner (1,500 meters), Ben Chase (3,000 meters) and Martin Lasky (55-meter hurdles).

In addition, the Patriots’ squad of Ethan Shea, Noah Gramitt, Ben Allder and Brian Hamilton won the 4x400-meter relay.
