BRISTOL — The “Apollo 18” PTO team from Portsmouth Middle School won the Judge's Award at the FIRST LEGO League INTO Orbit state championship at Roger Williams University on Saturday.
About 40 teams competed.
The overall first-place winner was "MagicSock," a famiily/community team from East Providence and Rehoboth, Mass. That team advanced to the next level of competition in Detroit, Mich., and each child on the team will receive a $20,000 scholarship to Roger Williams University.
