PORTSMOUTH — Young sharpshooters, take notice: The Knights of Columbus Father Christopher S. Rooney Council, No. 3618, is sponsoring its annual free throw contest at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The local level of competition for the 2018 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship will be held in the Bradley School Gym, behind St. Anthony’s Church at 2820 East Main Road.

All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to compete in their respective age divisions (age eligibility is determined by the contestant’s age as of Jan. 1, 2018). Participants are required to furnish proof of age for the competition as well as written parental consent. Entry forms can be completed at the time of the event.

Grand prizes of new basketballs will be awarded to one boy and one girl who make the most free throws.
