I find myself wondering if the 14 or 15-year-old girl consented. The story makes it sound like she did. A 4-year difference in ages isn't that big, in my view. If she was a mature 15-year-old, then they may have had a lot in common. Sex offenders are the new witches in our society. This fellow will be saddled all his life with that label, and it will keep him from living normally. Before a person's life is ruined by the stigma of being a sex offender, I think a determination should be made as to whether he is likely to be a repeat offender.
