Riverside wins District 2 contest
EAST PROVIDENCE — The Riverside and Rumford Little League Major 11-12 Baseball All-Stars met in a District 2 Tournament outing on June 28.
Visiting Riverside won the contest, 13-1, at the Kimberly Rock Complex to remain in the winners' bracket portion of the event.
Both Riverside and Rumford were slated to return to action Thursday evening, July 6. Riverside hosts Portsmouth in a winners’ bracket game at the Forbes Street Complex while Rumford travels to Pawtucket to face Pineview in a losers’ bracket outing. First pitch for both games in 5:45 p.m.
