Welcome spring with March 20 Gooseberry sunset walk

Posted

Join the Buzzards Bay Coalition on Sunday, March 20 at 6:15 p.m. for a sunset walk to welcome spring. Walkers will enjoy beautiful views as the sun sets over the ocean from historic Gooseberry Island in Westport, part of Horseneck Beach State Reservation.

Participants should meet at the trailhead by the parking area on Gooseberry Island. A short causeway begins near 10 East Beach Road, Westport and connects the mainland to the island. The walk is free and will run about an hour. Please dress for walking on the shoreline and windy waterfront conditions.

This event is part of the Coalition’s Bay Adventures series: programs designed for explorers of all ages to get outside and discover Buzzards Bay. To RSVP online, visit www.savebuzzardsbay.org/events or contact the Buzzards Bay Coalition at (508) 999-6363 ext. 219.
