EAST PROVIDENCE — Several East Providence Fire Department companies responded to a house fire around 9 p.m. Saturday evening, April 29.
EPFD Chief Oscar Elmasian said the incident took place on 49 Deer St. in the Rumford section of the city. The home is a one-and-a-half story, single-family structure.
EPFD personnel quickly knocked down the fire, the chief added. As of about a half-hour after firefighters reached the scene, he said there were no known injuries to report.
