Townies still in search of playoff-clinching win

Posted

EAST PROVIDENCE — The East Providence High School girls' volleyball team remains in search of one more victory, which would grant the Townies a spot in the upcoming Division I playoffs.

East Providence lost outings earlier this week to Cranston West and Ponaganset. The 4-9 Townies next play host to South Kingstown Friday evening, Oct. 26.

The latter match against the Rebels starts a three-game homestand for the locals to close out their regular season. Five wins earns a team a playoff berth.

East Providence Post and eastbayri.com contributing photographer Julie Furtado shot the accompanying gallery of photos of the Townies' match vs. Cranston West.
