Temperatures in the 40s will keep the expected precipitation Saturday from turning to snow
Residents in the East Bay hoping for a white Christmas are likely to be disappointed as temperatures are expected to remain above freezing this weekend.
Christmas Eve won't be a dry day, but it won't be flakes flying, just water falling. There is a 90 percent chance of rain throughout the region Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will rise into the high-40s Saturday afternoon, before dropping into the 30s Saturday night.
The rain will move out just in time for Santa Claus to fly in. On Christmas Day Sunday, skies are forecast to be clear and sunny, with temperatures again climbing into the 40s before dropping into the low-30s Sunday night.
