Mrs. Margaret K. (Edgar) Williamson Ferreira, age 88 of 150 Franklin St., Bristol, died Friday, May 6, 2016 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Hypolito “Paul” Ferreira. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, a daughter of the late Robert and Kathleen (Pettigrew) Edgar. She moved from Scotland to Providence in 1960 and was a Bristol resident for over 60 years. She was an assembler for Transcom Industries in Portsmouth for five years, retiring in 1989. She was previously a waitress at the former Castle Restaurant in Bristol for over 15 years. Following her retirement she was a longtime volunteer working in the Food Pantry for Self-Help organization in Riverside and was a volunteer foster grandparent for the Hugh Cole School in Warren for over 15 years, retiring just last year. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Margaret L. Roser (Robert) of Bristol, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Williamson and all of her siblings back in Scotland. Funeral services will be private.
