SEEKONK — Seekonk Police arrested four Rhode Island men Saturday night, March 23, on among other things, illegal firearm charges, and apparently thwarted a planned robbery attempt in the process.

According to report issued Tuesday, March 26, at approximately 6:30 p.m. last Saturday, SPD K9 Sergeant Steven Fundakowski observed a suspicious condition in the area of Motel 6, 821 Fall River Avenue. Sgt. Fundakowski ultimately initiated a motor vehicle stop and found the vehicle to be occupied by four males.

Upon arrival of back-up units, Sgt. Fundakowski retrieved his partner, K9 Zuzo, and conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle’s interior led to the discovery of a stolen Glock firearm, fully

loaded, with a high capacity magazine. Also located within the vehicle were four ski masks, gloves, a hammer and black zip ties, similar to the ones used as temporary handcuffs.

As a result, the four males — Angel Otero, 26, of Warwick; Justin Tallo, 29, of Warwick; Angel Reyes, 21, of Providence; George Miller, 25, of Warwick — were placed under arrest and charged with the following: Possession of a loaded firearm without a license; Possession of a large capacity firearm; Possession of a large capacity feeding device; Possession of burglarious tools; Receiving stolen property ); Transport firearm into the Commonwealth to commit criminal act; Conspiracy to commit a felony.
