Danielle Blue sang the National Anthem in front of the RI Army National Guard 88th Army Band as a field of East Bay residents stood and saluted the enormous flag at Independence Park on Thursday night, as they kicked off the Bristol Fourth of July Concert Series.

Ray Lavey began the night by introducing Chief Marshall Kathy Bazinet and the Miss and Little Miss Fourth of July courts.

Chief warrant Officer 3 Todd Garrepy directed the band through selections from Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Man of La Manche, Star Wars and Patriotic songs.

The band brought a host of wonderful singers with them to the concert. Mallory Leonard sang "America the Beautiful." The fabulous Felicia Baker fronted the band during a medley of songs featuring "The Impossible Dream."

The Band has a long and proud history of service to our State and Country. Instituted in 1892, the band performs a wide range of music from patriotic, classical, contemporary, big band swing, country, and the latest top-40 hits. Their Pop Rock Ensemble is consistently in the top East Coast Army Ensembles. Their show is a lively Patriotic presentation coupled with a high energy Rock set that will keep everyone thoroughly entertained.
