PORTSMOUTH — “Broadway: From Then ’til Now 7,” an annual musical variety show benefiting the Portsmouth Public Education Foundation, Looking Upwards and other local causes, was staged Saturday night at Portsmouth High School. 

The "concert of Broadway show tunes, old and new” was presented by the Dr. Robert A. Davidson Charitable Fund, named in memory of the late dentist who lived in Portsmouth and practiced in Tiverton.

The seventh annual benefit concert was organized by professional actor/musicians Laurie Davidson Spaner, Dr. Davidson's daughter, and her husband Craig Spaner of Portsmouth. They have many years of experience performing in the Boston area as well as Rhode Island, New York and Connecticut.

Joining them in the group of 18 singers, five dancers and six band members were Kim Kekligian Stamoulis, Don Levine, Sara Moore, Abby Moore, Katie Spaner, Mary Sheehan and Olivia Brennan of Portsmouth, Lily Ferreira of Middletown, Bristol native (now in NYC) Adam Cavalieri, Bristol resident Casey Little, Warren residents Kevin and Katie Silva, several Boston area professionals, as well as Stage Door Dance students Alexis Alvanas, Fiona Dooley, Hope Nichols, Kasey Regan, Annika Roos and Sydney Crotteau, all from Portsmouth.
