Anthony Marcello Sr., of Barrington

Anthony Marcello Sr. passed away on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017. He was the husband of 59 years to Margaret (Fusco) Marcello. Born in Barrington, Anthony was the son of the late Lauretto and Lydia (Fortin) Marcello.

Anthony was the superintendent for Campanella Construction Company, the general manager for Brewster Lumber and also a RI State Constable serving with distinction. He was also an avid golfer and a woodworking enthusiast. Anthony was known to say, “I can do anything” and “Semper Fi”, once a Marine always a Marine. 

Anthony leaves two sons, Anthony Marcello Jr., of Barrington, RI and Derek J. Marcello of Prosper, Texas, one  daughter, Darlene (Marcello) Nelson of Barrington, one brother, Lauretto Marcello of Riverside, a sister, Loraine Sweet of Florida, and two deceased brothers, Henry V. Marcello and Joseph Marcello. 

Anthony was the proud patriarch of his extended family, with 7 grandkids and 2 great-grand kids. 

A private wake will be held for family at Smith-Mason Funeral Home followed by burial at Maria Del Campo Cemetery Barrington, with military honors. Visit smithmason.com for online condolences.
