Arline Kent, 90, Westport

Arline (Cambra) Kent, 90, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Porter Kent.

Born in Boston, daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia (Cieto) Cambra, she lived in Westport before moving to Maine in 1978 and later returned to Westport in 2014. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a waitress for various restaurants in the area. Mrs. Kent was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary TW Cole Post 19 of Maine and the Cortez Allen Chapter #161 O.E.S. of Westport. She enjoyed cooking, reading and knitting.

Survivors include her son, Dana A. Kent of Attleboro; her daughter, Brenda L. Peixe and her husband Edward of Westport; daughter in law: Judith Cambra of Westport; three grandchildren, Karen Niss and her husband Knut, Cheryl Sylvia and her husband Jack, Malcolm Cambra Jr. and his wife Susan; six great grandchildren, Katharina, Klara, Kristof, Rebecca, Jared, and Meaghan; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late George Kent and Malcolm L. Cambra.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, MA 02790.
