Barrington kindergarten registration extended through next week

Snow days cited as reason for extending the deadline

Posted

A professional development day and two snow days this week limited the amount of time schools were able to collect registrations for incoming kindergarten students.

So to compensate for the missed days, officials have decided to extend kindergarten registration through Friday, Feb. 17.

Kindergarten will be open to all Barrington children who are turning five years old as of Sept. 1, 2017.

Registration for kindergarten will occur at each of the three elementary schools (Sowams, Nayatt, and Primrose Hill) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Parents are also welcome to register at the School Administration Office at any time. Families register at their neighborhood schools.

Registration information can be found on the district's website
