Barrington police: Two sexual assaults alleged

Posted

Twice last week residents stopped by the police station to file complaints about alleged past sexual assaults.

On Tuesday, March 24, a woman told Barrington police that her 15-year-old son was sexually assaulted.

The woman said her son had contacted another individual online and then met that individual in person, which was when the alleged inappropriate touching took place. It was unclear where the suspect is from. Police are still investigating.

On Wednesday, March 25, a Barrington man stopped into the station to report that his daughter had been sexually assaulted in Barrington during the summer months in 2014. The man said there were two male parties involved.

Officers told the man to have his daughter contact the police so they could further the investigation.
