A group of 30 scouts and adults from Troop 2 Barrington recently hiked Tuckerman's Ravine Trail in the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire, and half of the group also summited Mt Washington.
"The scouts faced extreme weather conditions including ice and snow, heavy winds, sub-zero temperatures and white-out conditions atop Mt. Washington," wrote scoutmaster Greg Voigt.
"All those who summited Mt. Washington were prepared for harsh conditions, equipped themselves appropriately, and made it back to the base lodge in one piece, no worse for wear."
