Barrington's U12 Juventus team won the Classic Gold Rhode Island Superliga title this season, finishing with a 7-0-1 record.

The team includes Finn Myatt, Xavier Gracas, Sean Bonneau, Michael Kilpatrick, James Nellis, Frits Del Negro, Leo Caldarella, Keegan McGonigle, Mohammad Cissickho, Kon Makris, Alex Muller, Liam Casey and Max Sylvestor. Mo Abarak is the U12 coach.

The Aston Villa U14 team from Barrington won its league title also. The team rolled to a 7-1-0 record.

The team includes Cameron Chalue-Feeney, Brian McDermott, Jack Abadi, Cooper White, Eli Muller, Lachlan Bishop, Caden Shelton, Jason Troiano, AJ Elson, Aaron Lundsten, Ryan Perugini, Daniel Enos, Graham Vatter, Harrison Taylor, Cole Zabriskie, Adam Copple and Anson Mole, and is coached by Craig Higginbotham.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
