Catherine Ann (Ballirano) Suriani, 88, formerly of Barrington

Catherine Ann (Ballirano) Suriani, 88, of Sanibel, Fla., formerly of Barrington, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016. Catherine was born in Providence. She was the daughter of the late Domenic and Elvira (DeStefano) Ballirano. She founded the business New England Hearth & Patio. 

She is preceded by her husband Henry Suriani, her granddaughter Mary E. Suriani of Barrington, and her brother Ralph Ballirano from Norwich, Conn. 

She is survived by her son Lewis Suriani and his wife Rosemary of Barrington, her granddaughter Melissa Heeden and her husband Ryan of Mansfield, Mass., her great-grandson Luke Heeden of Mansfield, Mass. She is also survived by her brothers Vincent Ballirano of Johnston, and Anthony Ballirano, of Riverside and beloved nieces and nephews in RI and Conn.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, Jan. 16, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside at 8:30 a.m. with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in the Carmelite Monastery, 25 Watson Ave., Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington.  Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
