Russell Horton Brown, 80, of Warren, died Feb. 17, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the loving husband of Claire M. (Skuce) Brown. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late James Brown and Gladys (Horton) Brown.

Mr. Brown worked as a truck driver for many years, retiring from the former J.B. Travis Lumber Co. of Swansea. He proudly served in the United States Army National Guard.

Besides his wife, he leaves his three loving daughters, Diane M. Diogo and her husband Antonio of Bristol, and Debra C. and Donna J. Brown, both of Warren. He was the cherished grandfather of Laurie A. Diogo, Michelle D. Diogo, Michael R. Diogo and Joseph A. Diogo, all of Bristol.

Funeral and burial services were private, entrusted to the J.H. Williams & Co. Funeral Home in East Providence. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the Warren Rescue Squad, 1 Joyce St., Warren RI 02885 will be appreciated. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Warren Police Department, Warren Rescue, Absolute Oxygen, & VNA of Newport & Bristol County for their kindness.
