To celebrate Black History Month, Linden Place Museum will present a Sunday afternoon concert titled, “In a Sentimental Mood”, featuring songs of one the world’s most famous jazz composers and performers, Duke Ellington.
John Murelle, baritone, and John Salerno, pianist, will entertain audiences with a concert of familiar, and perhaps unfamiliar, songs by Duke Ellington. Author Mick Carlon will be telling the fascinating story of Ellington’s background and his music between songs performed by Murelle and Salerno.
WHERE: Linden Place, 500 Hope St., Bristol
WHEN: The concert will take place on Sunday, Feb. 28; 3 p.m.
COST: $15 for general admission, $10 for Linden Place members, and free for Colt Circle members
