Waterfront home is in EP's 'best kept secret'

The Narragansett Terrace neighborhood in the Riverside section of East Providence has long been the "best kept secret" of the community.

With properties on or in very close proximity to Narragansett Bay, and a mere 15-minute drive to Providence, it offers convenience and a sense of being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

New to the market is a seaside cottage that has it all: Newer construction, a large lot anmd views that are second to none. Built in 2001, the three-bedroom waterfront home at 134 Narragansett Ave., sits high up on the western side of the penninsula that makes up the Terrace. It offers an open floor plan with main living are on the first floor, and additional living space in the walkout lower level that includes the third bedroom, full bathroom and plenty of storage.

With a total of 2,484 square feet of living space, the home feels much larger than a cottage. A new granite kitchen with stainless steel appliances opens to a dining and living area — all overlooking a large yard with a sprinkler system and beautiful gardens, surrounded by a stone wall.

Sliders from the living area open to a large deck with stairs leading down to the yard and the shore. The property has a mooring in front, making access to a boat easy and ultra-convenient. The home has maintenance-free vinyl siding, central air conditioning, beautiful hardwood floors and a two-car, detached garage.

The Terrace features a tight-knit community with social activities, a marina, and more.

The home is available for the asking price of $549,900. For more information, contact Barbara Stamp, with Residential Properties, at 401-480-5574.
