Alzira Costa, 94, Little Compton

Alzira (Rodriques) Costa, 94, of Little Compton, passed away on Monday, Sept. 5, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Antone D. Costa.

Mrs. Costa was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Pedro T. and Laura (Carma) Rodriques, and had been a long-time resident of Little Compton. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a seamstress for various mills in Fall River. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Charles "Chuck" Costa of Little Compton; her grandson, Michael Costa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Emily Monica and Laurinda Texeira.

Funeral service, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Friday, Sept. 9, at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, at 10 a.m.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
