Anne P. Palacz, 98, of Barrington

Anne P. Palacz, 98, died on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island after a long and fulfilled life. Born in Poland, Anne was the wife of the late Stanley W. Palacz of Central Bridge, NY and the daughter of the late John and Johanna Pawczyk of Yonkers, NY.

Anne is survived by her daughter Dianne S. Piccerelli of Barrington. A resident of Central Bridge, NY for over 50 years, Anne resided the last 22 years with her daughter Dianne in Barrington. Anne is also survived by her grandchildren, David W. Piccerelli his wife Heidi, Mark D. Piccerelli, Matthew J. Piccerelli his wife Alexa all of Barrington, RI and two great-granddaughters Isabelle and Camille.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anne P. Palacz may be made to the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
