Officials say at least six air conditioners were stolen from Shaw's Supermarket

Posted

Barrington police are requesting the public's help in identifying an individual suspected of stealing at least six air conditioners from the Shaw's Supermarket in the shopping center last week.

Witness spots "dirty-haired" man stealing AC unit.

It was initially reported that a man had been involved in the thefts, but police recently released a photo of a woman taken by the store's security cameras. The woman is pictured pushing a shopping cart containing one of the pilfered air conditioning units.

Police said the thefts occurred over a four day period, on or about Thursday, April 27.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call the Barrington Police Department confidential tip line at 401-437-3933.
